Top Tips on How to Make the Bunny with Overalls

Our most loved pattern is our Bunny with Overalls and Beanie!

WHAT INSPIRED US

We wanted to contrast the usual girly looking bunny and create a more gender neutral version suitable for both girls and boys. We have steered away from fluffy fabric, using linen and washed linen for a more authentic look. Plus we think having a bunny with floppy ears and a hat make it extra special and unique!

OUR TOP TIPS

Small details like how the overalls have a baggy fit and the beanie snugly fits over the head and ears adds to this bunny's cute yet cool, hipster vibe.

We recommend using a 2x2 sweater rib fabric for the beanie for a more realistic look, and using washed linen for the overalls will achieve a washed out, well-used look - similar to our children wearing their very own overalls!

COLOUR VARIATIONS

To gift a special little boy in your life we love using the orange and green combination, plus other contrasting bold colours like yellow and green, or even different tones of grey. If your little one has a favourite colour why not mix and match fabric patterns in their favourite shade? Or match colours to their bedroom colours to add that special touch to a kids bedroom or nursery!

If you are looking to make a gift for a little girl, then pinks and lilacs are always a winner, plus gentler tones of yellow and red can work really well together too. For that girly girl why not try a floral pattern or a touch of gold for some extra sparkle.
